About
the Hurricane Soccer Club

A Cleveland Area Premier Youth Soccer Organization
Founded by head coach Frank Washburn, Cleveland's Hurricane Soccer
Club teams are a formidable foe for Northern Ohio opponents
and continue to make a name for themselves by providing tough
competition wherever they go. The Hurricanes are members of The Cleveland Alliance Soccer Association (CASA), where Mr. Washburn serves as Vice President of the organization. Player
ages range from 9 years old up through High School. Foot skills,
fitness, position, strategy and team play are emphasized at all
age levels.
Most
outdoor games are played on Saturdays at the Lodi, OH soccer
field complex at I-71 and Rt. 224, just South of Medina, OH.
Winter indoor games and tournaments are played Saturdays and/or
Sundays in Lodi, North Olmsted, and at Cleveland State University's
Krenzler Field.

U11 girls warm up before a game with
help from one of the U14 players.
Primarily
made up of travel league and High School players from the Southwestern
and Western suburbs of Cleveland OH, the club draws upon talented
young women from a wide-array of soccer-oriented communities
with a long history of successful soccer programs, including:
North Royalton; Strongsville; Brunswick; North Olmsted; Parma;
Bay Village; and many other surrounding areas.
Team
rosters at different age levels vary from year to year, depending
on depth of the teams, an assessment of each players skill level,
and the availability of opponents to provide a true test of
the teams progression.
Hurricane
Soccer Club teams have participated in tournaments in many states,
including Illinois, Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and
Virginia. Family and fun are part of every Hurricane Soccer
Tournament.
